Nintendo Switch just released to the public yesterday, and gamers have already noticed a tiny secret message in the console’s Pro Controller accessory. What Tropiux of the Nintendo Switch subreddit has found isn’t exactly earth-shattering, but it’s a nice personal touch on a plastic piece of hardware.
As seen in the images below, there’s a small bit of text hidden under the remote’s right analog stick. If we zoom in, we can at least make out the phrase “game fan.” The current consensus is that the full meaning of this Easter egg is “THX2 ALLGAMEFANS.” In plain speech, “thanks to all game fans.” Apparently the creators of the Pro Controller wanted to leave a little gift for the hardcore gamers paying $70 to buy one.

This isn’t the first time in recent memory those involved with Nintendo hardware left notes for eagle-eyed investigators. Earlier this year, the group responsible for hacking the NES Classic Edition found a script from someone called the hanafuda captain. It chiefly told pirates to “keep this place tidied up and don't break everything.”
The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is currently the most reliable way to enjoy Switch games on your big-screen TV. While the included Joy-Con works quite nicely, the left half of the pair still suffers from occasional signal loss that hasn’t been addressed by Nintendo.
The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is in stock on Amazon at the time of writing. Be sure to check out our other Nintendo Switch content including a full review, guides for SD cards and eShop purchases.
