More than a dozen new Nioh screenshots were added to the game’s official website this week, featuring an assortment of characters from the upcoming action RPG, giving fans a glimpse of some yokai that haven’t appeared in previous media dumps. The new photo set also seems to include images of at least one boss from the Nioh campaign.
It’s the second Nioh media dump of the week, following the debut of a short 4K trailer on Tuesday, and there’s definitely more to glean from the new images than there was in the brief conversation between William and Okatsu. This week’s images offer early looks at a number of yokai from the upcoming samurai’s tale, along with other supernatural beings and a few of the adversaries we’ll fight when Nioh hits PS4 next month.
Those trying to avoid spoilers might want to skip out on the gallery because it appears to feature people and places from the middle and/or end of the game. We don’t have any context for the figures featured in the Nioh screens but other context clues (like William’s equipment) suggest we’re not looking at scenes from the beginning of the game.
