PC players rejoice! No More Heroes is finally coming to Steam this Wednesday, June 9. That’s not all since No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is also arriving on PC on the same date. As a PC title, players can expect support for HD resolution along with smooth 60 FPS gameplay. There are also other extra features like Steam Cloud support.
Both titles can be purchased for $19.99 each. However, on launch and until June 15, XSEED Games is offering both at 10% off.
No More Heroes
So what are the games about? No More Heroes tells the story of Travis Touchdown, an assassin currently ranked #11 in the United Assassins Association. He reached this rank after killing an assassin named Helter Skelter. With his trusty beam katana, he needs to go against the 10 other assassins to claim the top position in UAA. He brings with him his signature motorbike, the Schpeltiger, along with pro wrestling moves after years of watching wrestlers.
No More Heroes 2
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is set three years after Travis became UAA’s #1 assassin. He has been taking things a bit easy, a little too easy. As it turns out, he’s actually fallen way below the ranks and currently stands at #51. Making things difficult for him is Skelter Helter, an assassin who has sworn to avenge his older brother, Helter Skelter. Now working again, Travis teams up with Shinobu and Henry Cooldown to help in his quest to be #1.
No More Heroes was first released in the North American market in 2008 through Wii. It was then ported to the Nintendo Switch in October 2020. The game has received positive reviews with many critics citing its gameplay, unique story, and sense of humor.
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, on the other hand, was launched on Wii in October 2010, the same month when The Switch version was released. Like the previous game, this one also received generally good reviews with some praising the 8-bit mini-games.
So what do you think? Ready to try this game out?
