The upcoming DLC expansion for Nobody Saves the World is officially launching on September 13. Titled Frozen Hearth, it offers a new area to explore as well as new unique challenges to take on. It’s also introducing new Killer Bee and Mechanic forms.
Priced at $4.99, the Frozen Hearth DLC is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. There’s also a bundle being offered for consoles priced at $27.99, which has the base game and the upcoming DLC. A bundle is also available on Steam containing the game and the original soundtrack.
New DLC
In Frozen Hearth, a forgotten region deep underground has been unearthed. Here, the strongest warriors fight for glory in the Tempering, a series of puzzles and challenges to push the transformation skills and creativity of players. Those able to pass the trials of the Tempering get rewarded with the new Killer Bee and Mechanic forms. These can be used not only in the DLC but also in the main game.
In a statement, Nobody Saves the World Lead Designer Ian Campbell revealed that when they first released the original game, they actually had a lot of ideas that were left on the cutting room floor. He shared that the upcoming DLC allowed them to bring some ideas to life. Campbell went on to say that they had a blast creating not only more forms but also more puzzles and challenges.
Crowdfunding Campaign
In addition to the upcoming DLC, Drinkbox and Nobody Saves the World composer Jim Guthrie shared that fans may finally get the chance to own a physical edition of the game’s soundtrack.
A crowdfunding campaign is currently live on Bandcamp and is already 70% funded. Should the campaign be successful, supporters get the limited run 2x LP colored vinyl complete with art from Drinkbox art director Augusto Quijano. Learn more about the campaign here.
