There’s an otherworldy carnival arriving to Hearthstone and while it offers zany wonders and attractions, it appears it’s bringing along an ancient corruption. Indeed, the Old Gods that once ruled over Azeroth are coming back through the game’s upcoming Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion. It’s arriving on November 17 and is set to offer 135 new cards.
Madness at the Darkmoon Faire is sure to be a treat for long-time players as it’s going to bring them back to one of the game’s favorite expansions, Whispers of the Old Gods, which released in 2016. Prepare to see the return of iconic Legendary minions that include C’Thun and Yogg-Saron. This upcoming expansion is even going to allow players access to Old Gods Artifacts, which offer powerful spells that are inspired by the designs of the most dreaded Legendary minions from Whispers of the Old Gods.
In a statement, Blizzard Entertainment President J. Allen Brack said that this is a huge moment for Hearthstone as in addition to the expansion, there’s also going to be a new game mode plus a big change to the progression system. He went on to say that as the game “continues to evolve and grow, our focus is squarely on continuing to deliver a uniquely deep and fun game experience, and we think players are going to lose their minds over all of this new content.”
Hearthstone Duels
Hearthstone Duels is a new mode that offers the excitement of a PvP Arena combined with the deckbuilding experience of the Solo Adventures. Like with Arena, players fight against human opponents and have to reach 12 wins before getting three losses. However, with Duels, players are going to start with custom-built decks from their very own collections, after which they can then draft additional cards after each match.
Progression System Update
On November 12, Hearthstone is going to release an update which is going to make a big change to the progression system. The new system is set to deliver regular and exciting rewards to players.
