We know Overwatch is having a Christmas event but we know next to nothing about it. There’s a festive theme song that will most definitely be on the homepage of Overwatch , but other than that, nothing’s been found.
Blizzard released a single tweet that says the date Dec. 13, which could mean that’s when the event will be released or when they are announcing the actual event. Metabomb predicts the christmas event will end on Jan. 3, 2017.
Pinpointing when the Christmas event is going to start isn’t easy; so far each previous event has come out at different times. Both the Summer Olympics and Junkenstein Terror’s events were leaked a few days before they were officially announced, but this time Blizzard has kept their mouths shut.
My only guess is that the Overwatch Christmas event is going to start on Dec. 13 somewhere between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. EST If It doesn't start on that date, then that means Kaplan and his team wants to test some stuff out on the PTR. The two prior events didn’t pop up on the PTR before going live because they didn’t want to ruin the surprise. Hopefully, that’s what they are doing this time around and we can play in the snow as soon as possible.
