Winter Wonderland has finally come to Overwatch , spreading much cheer and bullets throughout the land. If you are a dedicated player, you’ve been spending as much time grinding Loot Boxes as you can while also still being employed. The newest Brawl, Mei’s Snowball Offensive, might not be as amazing as Junkenstein’s Revenge, but it’s definitely better than Lucioball.
Here are some tricks to help you win at Mei’s Snowball Offensive and get yourself that sweet Loot Box.
Mei’s Snowball Offensive is a 6v6 game played on Ecopoint: Antarctica. Surprisingly, everyone plays as Mei, but there’s a twist. Your icicles and snow beam have been replaced with a little snowball launcher. If you hit an enemy with a snowball, they are knocked out of the match.
You win the brawl after you eliminate the enemy team in a best-of-five. That means you have to got to win three games and eliminate 18 Meis.
You can’t just press the reload button in this mode, you have to go find a pile of snow and hold down your icicle trigger button, on Xbox its LT. You only get one shot per pile of snow, so try not to waste it.
The snowball moves in an arc, similar to Torbjorn’s magma shot. It’s also a fairly large projectile, so aiming it in an opponent’s general direction will usually knock them out.
Your ultimate doesn't launch a wave of cold in this mode. Instead, when it’s activated, you gain unlimited snowballs. Don’t underestimate the power of unlimited ammo in a mode where everything is “one shot, one kill.”
If you’ve played the 3v3 or 1v1 modes on Arcade, you’ll know the map well. Christmas lights and snowmen have been added for some holiday cheer, but it’s still the same staircases, vantage points and sneaky hiding spots.
The snow piles seem to randomly generate, unless there’s a pattern I just don’t see.
Remember, if you aren’t using Merry or Yeti Hunter Mei, your chances of winning are much smaller.
