The best McCree skin in the whole game, because it's High Noon somewhere.
The best McCree skin in the whole game, because it's High Noon somewhere. Blizzard

Overwatch , Blizzard’s insanely popular character shooter, just got its first official PC patch since launch. These changes aren’t out on the PS4 and Xbox versions of the game, those will be included in a much larger patch at a later date, most likely July.

McCree

  • Peacekeeper

  • Alternate Fire
Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree starts reloading) decreased from 0.75 seconds to 0.3 seconds
Bullet damage decreased from 70 to 45

McCree might be a cowboy, but he’s outputting damage like a robot machine gun. His bullet damage was too consistently high when emptying a clip directly into an enemy. Now tanks won’t die in a few very fast hits, instead lasting long enough to actually defend their team. Though he does less damage, he’s still a super powerful carry. You know that when it’s high noon, you might not make it out alive.

Widowmaker

  • Widow’s Kiss
    Alternate Fire (Scoped Shot)
Base damage decreased from 15 to 12
Note: Scoped shot damage multiplier remains unchanged
Headshot damage multiplier increased from 2x to 2.5x
Players must now wait for the unscoping animation to completely finish before scoping

  • Infra-Sight
    Ultimate cost increased by 10%

The sniper extraordinaire actually needs to have you in her sights before she can do some serious damage. Widowmaker has been one-shotting people a bit too consistently, picking Symmetra when the enemy team has the spider lady would just be a waste. This patch won’t affect the good Widowmakers, headshot damage is still 300, which is the same as before the patch. If you can’t aim though, you're definitely going to want to pick another hero.

Widowmaker’s ultimate should be used on cooldown, even if you are nowhere near your team. Increasing its charge time by just a bit creates a ton of breathing room for the opposing team, being able to hide your position is important for strategic play.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with collision on certain areas of Dorado not blocking line of sight

Blizzard listened and finally fixed the Symmetra/ Dorado bug. For a while, you could put turrets under a bridge that made them untargetable by the enemy. With two Symmetra’s you can have 12 undefeatable turrets and nobody's getting past that, including the Payload..

Here’s the exploit in an actual game of Overwatch :

What do you think of these changes, should they have nerfed Bastion? Tell us in the comments!
