'Overwatch' Sombra News: Lumerico Site Taken Down, Sombra Finally Coming Out? [UPDATE]

It looks like it’s finally going to be the end of Overwatch’s Sombra ARG game. The Sombra Collective and Los Muertos weren’t kidding when they said they would take down Lumerico. On Tuesday afternoon, the Overwatch reddit looked like it was hacked by Sombra, with mod posts briefly up discussing how Lumerico was going down. Shortly after, the Lumerico site went down, showing a Sombra skull on the page.

Two new emails have popped up on the Lumerico page. It seems like the company is finally noticing the hacks and starting to beef up security. Still, Sombra is one step ahead and one of the emails is filled with what looks like random code. When translated, with the random codes removed, the second email says:

“Miss Jimenez, it seems someone is manipulating our internal correspondence. Maybe you've seen some emails with strange seemingly random characters. We've initially thought this was because data corruption but my team found evidence that these were made deliberately by someone outside our networks. What do you want us to do?”

If you go lumerico.mx/admin, you’ll notice that the company provides itnernet access and produces energy. It looks like Sombra’s hack crippled their whole system and they aren’t giving power to anyone. If this was in the real world and not just an ARG game, this would be one of the worst cyber attacks in history. No company has ever been brought down like this and it really makes you think about what could happen in the real world.

The next step is to find out how to log in to the Lumerico admin page. It asks “your favorite movie” (Some Like It Bot), “your favorite cookie flavor” (nuevas sabor delicias) and then “secret.” There are a ton of people online trying to figure out the answers. MrNobodyX3 on Twitter is currently going nuts on the Overwatch Discord server if you want to watch Sombra unfold in real time.

UPDATE: The secret has been found! The answer to the question is "OpenAnything1.1.0" and gives you access to new commands. When you enter "cat mnt/d_ilqh_nhb.html" you find a picture of a key made of code. This is about to get nuts.

The nuclear power plant is about to explode. Oh boy.

UPDATE 2: When the nuclear reactor countdown reached 100 percent, the sight started to glitch out. Sombra then led players to Volskayaindustries.com, which is the next piece in the puzzle.
