'Overwatch' Year Of The Rooster Skins: Leaked Trailer Shows Symmetra, Mercy Skins And Capture The Flag Brawl

On Monday morning, a leaked trailer from Overwatch’s next event, The Year Of The Rooster, appeared online. The trailer first appeared on the Chinese social media site Weibo and gives us a ton of new information about the highly anticipated skins and more.

In the video, we see new skins for Mercy and Symmetra, along with skins that were already leaked or teased, like Mei’s skin and the Journey To The West skins. I predicted Symmetra would be getting a new skin in this patch since her Ornament spray from the last event, Winter Wonderland, showed her wearing something new. There will be over 100 cosmetics, including skins, player portraits, emotes, victory poses, sprays and voice lines.

The video also has what looks like a capture the flag mode, though the images are a bit too grainy to know for sure. If the new brawl has anything to do with that FPS classic mode, this event just got even better.

According to the leaked trailer, the Year Of The Rooster event will have a sale period in China from Jan. 31 to Feb. 6. Don’t get your hopes up about discounted loot boxes in the U.S. though, this most likely won’t happen for our event. The trailer doesn’t say when the event will end, but past events have lasted two weeks, which makes Feb. 6 a logical end point for Blizzard’s Lunar Revel extravaganza.
