Paradox continues to support Stellaris with a brand-new, full expansion titled Apocalypse, focused almost completely on new ways to kill, destroy and eliminate in the most Dalek-pleasing manner possible.
In a press release, Paradox announced Apocalypse “will bring new levels of warfare and destruction to the galactic exploration and discovery game, and will add many new ways to extend one’s galactic dominion – including the ability to destroy entire enemy planets.”
Stellaris: Apocalypse adds a load of new offensive and defensive options, as well as a few non-violent options for the peacemakers among us. The new Apocalypse DLC will include:
Sorry, Alderaan: Apocalypse introduces the Colossus, a planet-killer weapon that will eliminate entire worlds from the universe. Hey, if you can’t have it, why should they?
Size Does Matter: New, gigantic Titan capital ships lead your fleets to conquest with major bonuses for the vessels under their command. You can also fortify key systems with huge orbital installations in order to secure the home front.
Space Barbarians: Marauders are galactic nomads who raid empires and lurk on the fringes of civilized life. You can hire them as mercenaries in your own border spats, but if they unify, they will trigger an all-new late-game crisis.
Blessed Be The Peacemakers: Apocalypse also includes some new Ascension Perks and Civics, as well as new Unity Ambitions to spend Unity and customize your development in all-new ways.
As always, a free update will land alongside the paid DLC. You can check out the dramatic, death-dealing trailer for Stellaris: Apocalypse below:
