Do you know how to craft 60% cold conversion gloves for your next build in Path of Exile? If not, I will show you how! The process is actually easy, but with all things in PoE, a little luck goes a long way. And yes, you'll need a lot of currency too! With that said, let's get started!
Crafting the Gloves
The first thing that you need to do is get a good pair of gloves. If you want pure evasion, go for Shagreen Gloves or Stealth Gloves. If you want a hybrid armor/evasion base, settle for Dragonscale Gauntlets.
Next, you must have a good stock of essences. Now, which essences to use depends on the stat you want to put on your gloves. I recommend Deafening Essence of Greed for HP or Deafening Essence of Envy for some chaos resistance. But the choice is entirely up to you.
Once you have the essences, use Armourer's Scraps to increase the gloves' quality to 20%. After that, use as many essences as you need until you get your desired affixes.
In case you didn't know, a rare pair of gloves in Path of Exile can have up to six affixes (three prefixes and three suffixes). Since you're crafting 60% cold conversion gloves, you need at least one open prefix. The reason for this is that you need to put "Suffixes cannot be changed" from your crafting bench to secure your suffixes. This is an important step because you will be using a Veiled Chaos Orb shortly after.
The Veiled Chaos Orb reforges a rare item, giving it a new set of random modifiers, including a veiled modifier. Because you've added "Suffixes cannot be changed" on your gloves earlier, the suffixes on the item are safe and will not be altered even after using a Veiled Chaos Orb.
Now, head to Jun and select the "Unveil Item" option. Unveiling an item with a veiled modifier presents you with three random affixes. At this point, just hope that you'll get the "35% Physical Damage Converted to Cold" prefix.
Finishing Touches
Provided that you have the aforementioned mod, what should you do next? Get some Grand Eldritch Ichors and use that on your gloves until you get the "20% Physical Damage Converted to Cold" Eater of Worlds implicit. Next, you elevate that by using some Orbs of Conflict. Take note that in order for the Orb of Conflict to work, your gloves should also have a Searing Exarch implicit, so simply use a Greater/Grand Eldritch Ember for that. This part of the crafting process can be pretty expensive, so be sure to have tons of currency available.
Once you've elevated the mod to 25%, use Grand Eldritch Embers to finish the Searing Exarch implicit. You should aim for a mod that perfectly complements your build. For example, if you're playing a physical-to-cold conversion Tornado Shot deadeye, go for "Gain One Rage on Hit with Attacks." You could also aim for increased attack speed or percent chance to intimidate enemies with attacks.
