The co-op psychological horror game Phasmophobia received Hotfix v0.8.0.6 recently, which brings a bevy of nice changes, including the option to change speaker modes and the ability to place crucifixes while playing the VR game version.
The Crucifix is one of the most useful items in Phasmophobia. This purchasable item prevents ghosts from attacking you as they’re unable to enter their physical forms if they’re within three meters. That said, you can now place crucifixes on VR and you’ll be able to see the range indicator when doing so.
Hotfix v8.0.6 also allows you to switch between speaker modes for better immersion. If you want to play Phasmophobia with a 7.1 surround sound speaker set up, now you can!
Now, if you’ve played the game during the holidays, you might have noticed that the game has stopped rendering raindrops for some reason. Apparently, this was caused by a pesky bug. But don’t worry, this issue has now been fixed.

- You can now take a photo of the black keyboard interaction and fingerprints
- Moved a bin that was clipping inside a wall in School
