A Plague Tale: Requiem finally has a release date and thankfully, we won’t have to wait long. The game is launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 18. The Nintendo Switch version will only be available via Cloud. The trailer that revealed the release date also showed off extended gameplay footage. You can watch over 12 minutes of gameplay below.
The trailer revealed a good chunk of gameplay. We got an in-depth look at combat and stealth, both seem to be improved compared to the original game. Players will have the ability to look through walls and go prone. It is quite obvious that A Plague Tale is heavily inspired by The Last of Us franchise. At the end of the trailer, we also saw that players could control rats and get rid of enemies by eating them.
Pre-Order and Collector's Edition
Requiem is now available for pre-order on every platform except Switch for only $49.99. Pre-ordering will get you some digital goodies. A Collector’s Edition is also available for purchase via the official site but stock is limited, so get it as soon as you can. You can check out the previous article to know more about the pre-order bonus and the Collector’s Edition. The title is available on both Steam and Epic Games Store.
About the Game
A Plague Tale: Requiem is developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive. Asobo Studio is most known for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Requiem is a sequel to the 2019 title, A Plague Tale: Innocence, and it takes place six months after the events of the first game.
If you haven’t played the first game, we highly recommend it. Innocence received a free next-gen upgrade last year and is currently on sale for only $7.99. It is also available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
