After a long wait, Pokémon Bank has finally been updated. Trainers will have to download the Pokémon Bank app again instead of just a patch. The Pokémon Transporter app will also be downloaded to allow transfers from Green, Red, Blue and Yellow.
The Pokémon Bank app takes 496 blocks of memory to download while the Pokemon Transporter will take 420 blocks to download version 1.2. Going off the details revealed on the Hong Kong Pokémon website, every Gen 1 Pokémon transferred to Sun and Moon will have their hidden ability.
However, it should also be noted that Mews received through the glitch found in the Gen 1 games cannot be transferred over.
And speaking of Mew, the Pokémon Company has revealed that those who use Pokémon Bank from now until Oct. 2 will also receive the special Z-Crystal, Mewnium Z, which only Mew can use.
They even released a video to show off Lee using its special Z-Move.
To obtain the Mewnium Z, you must first have a subscription to Pokémon Bank. A one-year subscription costs $4.99.
Next, you will have to open the app and being using the app. Simply go and use the Pokémon Bank and the app will let you know that they have a gift for you. Once that's done, you'll receive the Mewnium Z. You can transfer your item to Sun and Moon and once you do, it's as simple as going to your nearest Pokémon Center and talking to the gentleman – he will ask if you want what you transferred and you accept. It's as simple as that.
