November brings a brand new Pokémon distribution to celebrate 20 years of Pokémon. This month, trainers can download the Bug and Steel-type Pokémon, Genesect.
This mysterious Pokémon comes to trainers at level 100 with the Download ability and the attacks Signal Beam, Solar Beam, Techno Blast and Magnet Bomb. However, Genesect (like many of the other Mythical Pokémon) can learn a slew of TMs and HMs if you want to customize your Genesect more.
Unlike most of the distributions this year, Genesect will be distributed through GameStop in North America with Canada receiving Genesect at EB Games. A serial code will be handed out when you visit these stores and you don’t have to buy anything to receive it. Just ask one of the employees and they will give a code card while supplies last.
This is the same method when the Mythical distribution started in February with Mew and with Darkrai in May.
Once you get the card, scratch off the back and input the code into your Pokémon X and Y or Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire by choosing the Mystery Gift tab when you boot up your game.
Select RECEIVE GIFT then GET WITH CODE, connect to the Internet and then input your code.
Trainers can only get the Genesect GameStop codes until Nov. 24.
If you’re unlucky enough to miss out on the Gamestop codes, some trainers have called the Nintendo Customer Service where they provided their Network ID and a code was given over the phone. It’s an option you can try if your local GameStop doesn’t have enough Genesect codes.
The Pokémon Company is distributing a Mythical Pokémon every month this year and you can check out the list of ‘Mon below yet to be released. And let us know in the comments section how you plan to train your Genesect.
