The Daily Bonus chart, straight from the Ponyta's mouth Niantic

Niantic just revealed some huge news for Pokémon Go . Daily bonuses are coming to the game today and are being rolled out immediately. On your first catch of the day, you get bonus experience and stardust. Also, the first Pokestop you spin every day grants you bonus experience and more items. If you do either of these for seven days in a row, you get an even larger bonus.

Pokestops are giving six to eight items per spin.

To celebrate this new feature, Niantic is bringing another event to Pokémon Go . The Halloween spooktacular must have been extremely successful from the ARG game. From Nov. 7 to 11, there will be more Pokémon spawning and Pokestops will grant more items. For those of us trying to stock up on Great and Ultra Balls, this your chance to hoard.

This news came completely out of left field. I didn’t expect Niantic to implement such a big change overnight, but I guess they are braver than I thought. I’m not sure that this alone will get more people coming back to Pokémon Go , but it’s a solid start. Now they just have to bring back third-party trackers, add Generation 2 Pokémon and give everyone around the world the new tracker, and then the game can go back to being a cult phenomenon.
