The Pokémon GO Summer Tour 2019 has been confirmed by Niantic and The Pokémon Company. This year’s event will kick-off in Chicago on June 13, and run to June 16.

This is the third time that Chicago hosts a Pokémon Go Fest and for 2019, the event is now four days instead of the usual two. The event is at Grant Park, and Trainers can get the chance to catch a wide range of Pokémon while also being able to interact with the different physical installations. Exclusive activities are planned to be conducted during the event.

Niantic CEO John Hanke said that the 2018 Summer Tour resulted in a number of unforgettable stories and moments. For this year, Niantic is “looking to continue to build upon that success and create even more ways for Trainers to enjoy and interact with these incredible parks and cities and build lasting friendships throughout their journeys of encountering Pokémon in the ‘real-world.’”

Single day admission for the Chicago Pokémon Go Fest is $25, with the event ground open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time. Aside from the Challenges and Rewards, Trainers can also perform Special Research within the event grounds to unlock exciting rewards. Team lounges are available, giving Trainers a place to rest and meet fellow teammates.

More information on the Chicago Pokémon GO Fest can be viewed here.

After Chicago, the Tour moves to Dortmund, Germany, the site of the Pokémon GO Safari Zone back in 2018. The event will be at Westfalenpark, and begins July 4 and ends July 7. Tickets for the event will be available later this year. Details are available here.

The third city in the tour will be in Asia, with details to be announced soon.

For Trainers who are unable to attend the summer event, they can still participate in the Pokémon GO Fest. Details will be released ahead of each event and Trainers are advised to mark their calendars on these dates: May 19, June 8, July 21, August 3.

In the meantime Trainers can enjoy Pokémon GO's latest Bug Out event. The event started April 2 at 3 p.m. EDT and ends at 3 p.m. on April 9.

During the event, more bug-type Pokémon will appear in the wild. More Pokémon are also expected to appear when using incense, with the incense now lasting twice as long. Bug-type Pokémon Field Research will also be avaiable for a limited time.
