It's time to go green in Pokémon GO this week. Sustainability Week starts this Thursday, April 20, and ends on Wednesday, April 26. This event sees the official debut of the fruit Pokémon Bounsweet to the game. Trainers can evolve Bounsweet into Steenee with 25 Bounsweet Candy. Meanwhile, Steenee can be evolved into Tsareena using 100 Bounsweet Candy
For this upcoming event, the bonuses are:
- If the Buddy Pokémon is an Ultra Buddy or higher, it brings souvenirs more frequently.
- If the Buddy Pokémon is a Great Buddy or higher, it brings leaf-wrapped gifts more frequently.
- These gifts contain Berries more often, and they may even contain a Silver Pinap Berry.
- The Buddy Pokémon accompanies trainers on the map longer after being fed.
- 1/2 distance to earn hearts with the Buddy Pokémon.

- Sustainability Week–themed Field Research tasks are available. This Pokémon is available to encounter for those who complete select Field Research tasks:
- Drilbur
- New avatar items
- Bounsweet Hat
- Steenee Shirt
- Tsareena Boots
April Community Day Classic
A few days after Sustainability Week ends, trainers are once again going to be busy when Community Day Classic returns on April 29. During this event, Swinub will appear more frequently in the wild and those lucky enough could even encounter a Shiny one.
The bonuses for this event are:
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day Classic for a surprise.
Other activities trainers can do during this event are:
- Field Research
- Swinub-themed Field Research is available.
- Catch Swinub to earn rewards like a Sinnoh Stone, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more.
- Timed Research
- Complete tasks to earn up to four Sinnoh Stones.
There's also a Community Day Special Research story which is the Swinub Community Day Classic but this Special Research story costs $1. An announcement on when the tickets go live is to be revealed soon. Trainers can also join this Special Research story with friends by buying and then gifting them the tickets. The only condition is to have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
