It’s almost Thanksgiving for Americans and developer Niantic is looking to celebrate. In honor of everyone’s favorite day to eat too much food, Pokémon Go will be updated to allow players to earn more XP and stardust.
In a post on the Pokémon Go website, Niantic says they want to say thank you to the community by giving a little something back. “We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey,” Niantic posted. “So we would like to say thank you - and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community.”
Starting on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. EST, all actions in Pokémon Go will earn players double the XP. Additionally, players will also earn double the stardust for catching wild Pokémon. The event will run until Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. EST. Unlike the Halloween event, it doesn’t seem like there will be an increased spawn rate for certain Pokémon this time around.
