One reddit user has allegedly found what might be proof of Niantic’s preparations to introduce trading in Pokémon Go.
A user named cokuspocus claims to have found the following code within Pokémon Go, along with speculation as to what the code might be in reference to:
Incense
Item_incense_spicy <-incense that attracts only fire
Item_incense_cool <-incense to attract ice or maybe water
Item_incense_floral <-incense to attract grass or bug type etc.
Legendary Pokémon
activity_catch_pokemon <- this is of course just catching Pokémon, BUT
activity_catch_legend_pokemon <- shows that legendarys will be able to be caught, whether at an event or however.
Trade
Trade_search <- you can search for people looking to trade?
Trade_offer <- offer a trade to someone that wants to trade?
Trade_response <- when you offer a trade, they respond with whether or not they will go through with it?
Trade_result <- after an interaction, what happens, who gets what.
The alleged code appears to suggest Niantic will introduce trading and new types of incense to Pokémon Go. The reddit user also claims to have found code for “forts,” believed to be Pokestops that players may be able to take over.
Unfortunately, the redditor didn’t provide screenshots of the alleged codes for incense and trading. Niantic also hasn’t confirmed plans to introduce trading or the release of Legendary pokémon. Still, being able to drop specific incense to catch the Pokémon you want would be cool. It would be nice to finally catch a Charmander and bring out the Magikarp to get in with that Garados action.
