The special Ash Hat Pikachu that will be distributed with the upcoming 2017 Pokémon movie was revealed in the latest issue of CoroCoro, and now more information on the special Pokémon has been released.
According to Serebii, each special Ash Hat Pikachu will come at a different level with a different move set. However, each Pikachu will come in a Pokeball and have the Static ability.
If you want the Kanto/Johto hat Pikachu, it will come at Level 1 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Thunder and Agility.
Hoenn hat Pikachu comes at Level 6 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Thunder and Iron Tail. Sinnoh hat Pikachu comes at Level 10 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle.
Unova hat Pikachu comes at Level 14 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle. Kalos hat Pikachu comes at Level 17 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Electro Ball.
Alola hat Pikachu comes at Level 20 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Electro Ball.
If you’re wondering why each Ash Hat Pikachu has a different level, the Pikachu levels represent the year in which that region was introduced. For example, the Alola Hat Pikachu is level 20, because Sun and Moon were released on the 20th anniversary.
Each Ash Hat Pikachu will come with the new Z-Crystal, Pikashunium which from the movesets above is tied to Thunderbolt similar to Alola Raichu’s special Z-Move. The effect of this new Pikachu attack is unknown, but we’ll update as soon as we learn more.
Ash Hat Pikachu will begin to distribute in Japan via serial code. Trainers who input the code into their Sun or Moon game will get a different Pikachu depending on the date.
From April 15 to May 1 and again from July 19 to July 31, Sun and Moon players can receive a Pikachu with the original Kanto/Johto hat. The Hoenn Cap is distributed from May 3 through May 15, then again Aug. 2 through Aug. 14.
The Sinnoh Cap is distributed from May 17 to May 29, and again on Aug. 16 through Aug. 28. The Unova Cap is released from May 31 to June 12, then again Aug. 30 through Sept. 11. And if you want the Kalos hat Pikachu you can go from June 14 through June 26 or from Sept. 13 through 25. Finally, from June 28 to July 17 you can get the Alola Cap Pikachu, repeated from Sept. 27 through Oct. 9.
