We also got some formal reveals for two CoroCoro Pokémon and some new/returning features in Sun and Moon. Check out all the Pokémon goodness in the trailer below.
First, we have Wimpod the Bug and Water-type Pokémon. From the trailer, Pin Missle seems to be one of the moves it learns. It has the new ability Wimp Out, which allows Wimpod to run away when it’s hit by a super effective move.
We then have Bounsweet, the Grass-type Pokémon that comes with the abilities Leaf Guard, which prevents status effects when it’s sunny out and Oblivious, which makes Bounsweet unaffected by attraction effects.
Comfey, the Fairy-type Pokémon is next and is based on the Hawaiian leis. It has the abilities Flower Veil, which and the new ability Triage, which gives health restoring attacks priority.
Mudsdale, the Ground-type Pokémon arrives in Sun and Moon with the abilities Own Tempo, which makes it immune to confusion, and the new ability Stamina, which increases a Pokémon’s Defense by one when hit by an attack.
The Pokémon Company also formally reveals the two CoroCoro Pokémon from last week.
Mimikyu will be the English name and the Ghost and Fairy-type Pokémon’s Disguise ability has finally been revealed. This allows Mimikyu to escape damage from a Pokémon just once.
Kiteruguma is now known as Bewear in English and the Fighting and Normal-type Pokémon’s new ability, Fluffy has its effect revealed. This allows for Bewear to take reduced damage from attacks that make direct contact with it but it also makes it weak to Fire-type attacks.
It’s also revealed that trainers can host their own competitions using the Global Link and Super Training returns as Hyper Training with a better interface to make it easier for trainers to EV train and breed.
Pokémon Sun and Moon will release Nov. 18 in Japan and the US and Nov. 23 in Europe.
