Money in any Pokémon game is crucial; this is how you can buy the supplies you need for catching Pokémon and healing your team during or after every battle.
There are ways to get more money in Pokémon Sun and Moon quickly (hello Amulet Coin) but there’s an exploit that savvy trainers can use to get an infinite stream of Pokedollars if they have patience and put in the time.
To get an infinite amount of money in Pokémon Sun and Moon, you’ll need to have access to the Thrifty Megamart on Akala Island - that giant supermarket next to the Battle Royal Dome. Every time you enter the supermarket you’ll be given a discount coupon to use when you buy anything in the store.
Once you picked up your coupon, head over to the female cashier closest to the entrance on the left. Speak to her and purchase 10 PokeBalls for 2000 PokeDollars. After purchasing, she’ll gift you a Premier Ball for free; this item is the key.
The coupon you use will cut the price of the PokeBalls in half so you’re only spending 1000 Poké Dollars.
Once the transaction is complete, speak to her again and sell back the 10 Pokeballs for 1000 Poké Dollars. You’ll make back the money you spent but then you can sell back the free Premier Ball you got for 10 Poké Dollars.
After you finished just walk out of the Thrifty Megamart and reenter to get another coupon to repeat the process.
Be warned trainers, 10 Poké Dollars doesn’t seem like a lot of money (and it isn’t), but if you put in the time those 10 Poké Dollars can rack up fast. It’s also a great way to get Premier Balls for free.
