Pokémon fans are looking for any information regarding the latest upcoming games, Sun and Moon , and when it was announced that Junichi Masuda would be appearing on Japan’s Gathering at the Pokémon House with the first Sun and Moon footage on Japanese television there was understandable some excitement.

The April 3 airing of Gathering at the Pokémon House has come and gone and, unfortunately, there was no new footage of Pokémon Sun and Moon. What was shown was the same trailer from the Pokémon Nintendo Direct in February.

While that may be a bummer for hardcore Pokémon fans, there is some interesting information that came out of Masuda’s appearance on the show.

Masuda was asked how many Pokémon would be in the Sun and Moon and according to Serebii, Masuda jokingly answered that there will be more than ten. Of course, this seems like a no-brainer but for someone from GameFreak to confirm new Pokémon in Sun and Moon to be more support that this is indeed Generation 7.

And with the April issue of CoroCoro going to have more information on the latest Pokémon games, fans should expect information on the region and probably the starters of this new region.

Outside of Masuda’s admission to new Pokémon, we do have visual evidence of a new bird Pokémon amongst other handy details, which you can find here .

The April issue of CoroCoro is expected to be released the weekend of April 15 and leaked scans will show up online near that time so be on the lookout.

So what do you think we will get from the next CoroCoro? Are you still convinced that Sun and Moon is not Gen 7? Let us know in the comments section below.
