AMC’s new series Preacher will kick off the network’s summer TV lineup in May, shortly after the Fear the Walking Dead midseason finale. According to Entertainment Weekly , the show is a dark comedy based on a popular 90s comic series about a preacher named Jesse Custer with supernatural powers. Custer uses his powers to literally search for God in a small Texas town. Those attending SXSW this year were able to see the pilot episode before the premiere. AMC ordered 10 episodes of its latest comic book adaptation, which premieres on AMC Sunday, May 22 at 10 p.m. Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 will be released on April 11.
