TMZ is reporting that musical legend Prince has been found dead at his Paisley Park Studios in Minnesota. The pop icon, full name Prince Rogers Nelson, was 57.
On April 15, Prince’s private jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Illinois, apparently due to Prince’s deteriorating medical condition exacerbated by the flu.
The Carver County Sheriff’s Dept. was called to the scene earlier today because of an on-site death, though they’ve yet to confirm that it was Prince who had died.
Deputies are on scene of a death investigation at Paisley Park in Chanhassen. More info to follow. -814

During his career Prince won seven Grammys. At the time of his death, Prince had been working on a memoir that he hoped would "take readers on an unconventional and poetic journey" from his first memory to his now legendary 2007 Super Bowl performance.
An unparalleled musician and a talented actor and entertainer, Prince will be missed by music lovers the world over.
