Pro Era’s Nyck Caution Mixtape ‘Disguise The Limit’ Coming This Week? Record With Joey Bada$$ ‘Is A Trip’

Even though Nyck Caution just released a 3 track EP called 22, expect another drop shortly. The Brooklyn rapper tweeted last night, “I’ll have something new this week.”

Pro Era has been quiet about any details regarding Nyck Caution's album. All clues point to a mixtape titled Disguise The Limit, but nothing has been confirmed. Caution raps "Disguise the limit, coming real, real soon" at the end of his song “ Light Through The Cracks ” and also tweeted the rumored title late December.

"If you listened closely you would know I already dropped the title of my tape,” Caution tweeted this week. Some fans are guessing, “Sky’s The Limit,” or “Light Through The Cracks,” but my instinct is telling me he’s more clever than most. If you listen closely to the end of “Light Through The Cracks,” Caution annunciates the “D” to morph “The Sky’s The Limit” into “Disguise The Limit.”

During an interview with Hot New Hip Hop in January, Joey Bada$$ and Caution also said a project is coming “real soon.” The two Pro Era labelmates also talked specifically about one 5-6 minute record they have together on the new project. “The record we have on the project isn't like anything I've ever heard in life ever. It’s literally like a trip,” Caution said. “I don't want people to expect anything from me because I got a lot more than they expect. ‘Church’ is just a taste.”

Joey Bada$$ said Caution brings a fresh sound to his new project, unlike anything that’s out right now. “Once you hear the full project it's like wow, he’s also a full artist as well. He can compose songs,” Joey Bada$$ said.

Nyck Caution hasn't dropped a formal mixtape since The Pursuit Vol. 1 in 2011, but The Pro Era member released 3 solid tracks for his birthday that prove he's ready to move up the ranks. The surprise EP dubbed 22 is a collab with Metro Boomin on the production end. While the mini project has features from Joey Bada$$, Dyemond Lewis and Denzel Curry, Caution carries the heat. However, he clarified that 22 is not part of the new project.
