KIRA E-Sports vs. FAV gaming
These matches were played in a best of three series. The first map was on Villa, which is a defender-sided map. FAV started strong on the attack as they got three rounds in the first half. This resulted in a 3-3 scoreline for the split. The second half was even more interesting when KIRA showed impressive coordination that allowed the team to take the game all the way to overtime. Most viewers expected this to be an easy win for FAV since KIRA has less experience in regional leagues. KIRA put up a good fight against FAV but the latter was able to win the map with an 8-7 scoreline.
The second map played on Chalet was an utter defeat for KIRA as they lost 1-7 against FAV.
Fnatic vs. MercenarieZ
The first map was played on Coastline, which is an attacker-sided map. Fnatic started the first half with a 5-1 scoreline on the attack. Fnatic kept this momentum in the next half and finished the map with a 7-2 scoreline.
The second map was played on Consulate, another attacker-sided map. The Valkyrie ban from MrcZ was to prevent Fnatic from running on the defense. Still, Fnatic started strong on defense and even won the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. Fnatic had more experience that allowed them to dominate MrcZ. So, it was no surprise when Fnatic won the three rounds on the attack and finished the game with a 7-3 scoreline.
KIRA and MrcZ, the teams from South Asia, have lost their chance to qualify for the Six Major.
