The final matches of the lower brackets were a best-of-three series that started on the Clubhouse map. The map is usually defender-sided but the Maverick ban from Invictus meant Thatcher is unlocked. When Thatcher is unlocked, the attackers can open every single wall and hatch without any issue. Invictus started on the defense during the first half and took four rounds, which was mainly due to their superior coordination. Invictus took the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. Invictus was able to carry their momentum after the side switch and won the game with a 7-3 scoreline.
Map 2: Oregon
The second map was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Invictus once again started the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. After the side switch, Elevate switched to an aggressive playstyle that allowed them to defeat Invictus. Elevate won five rounds on the defense and only dropped one round. Elevate took the second map with a 7-5 scoreline.
Map 3: Kafe Dostoyevsky
The third and final map of the series was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky. It was the most exciting match because the winner of this match would qualify for the Six Major, and it was the first where the teams played all three maps. Invictus started on the attack and they got three rounds, which resulted in a 3-3 scoreline. Invictus played really well on the defense by playing passive and won the game with a 7-5 scoreline.
This victory for Invictus makes them the fourth APAC team to qualify for the Six Majors. Elevate gets knocked out of the playoffs without a chance to join the Six Major.
