DAMWON Gaming vs. Elevate
Map 1: Chalet
The best-of-three match started on Chalet, which is an attacker-sided map. DWG KIA banned Maverick on the attack to make it more difficult for attackers to open walls and hatches. DWG KIA started out strong as they managed to get four rounds on the attack. They only lost two rounds, and it was extremely close as well. The first half resulted in a 4-2 scoreline in favor of DWG KIA. The seventh round started rough for DWG KIA, but DWG KIA Sewoong "CATsang" Heo was able to clutch a 1v3, and it demoralized Elevate. With the momentum DWG created, they finished the game with a 7-2 scoreline.
Map 2: Oregon
The second and final map of the series was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. A ban from Elevate was a bit weird: Finka. This is because Elevate usually plays Finka, and banning the operator made no sense. DWG KIA started out strong on the defense, winning four rounds. This resulted in a 4-2 scoreline for the first half. Elevate put up a decent fight in the second half with three won rounds. However, DWG KIA had a score advantage, which made it a bit easier for them to win the game. DWG KIA won the final map with a 7-5 scoreline and qualified for the Six Majors.
DWG KIA is the third team to qualify for the upcoming event. Elevate will get another chance to qualify for the Six Majors if they win against Invictus in the lower bracket.
