Rainbow Six Siege’s APAC South Division concluded its second playday. This is an important league as the first placer will qualify for the Six Major. The second to fourth placers will qualify for the playoffs, where they will face APAC North teams.
Invictus Gaming vs. Knights
This match was played in Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Invictus started out on defense but were unable to counter Knights' aggressive executes into the site. Knights would clear the map out properly from the start and proceed to rush it, which made it hard for Invictus to counter them.
However, Invictus was able to adapt to Knights’ playstyle and had taken three rounds in the first half. The first split resulted in a 3-3 split. After the side switch, Jeremy "HysteRiX" Tan of Invictus got a triple kill, in the seventh round, by just walking up the white stairs while the rest of his team was executing into the site. Invictus continued to dominate on the attack and only dropped a single round in the second half. This resulted in a 7-4 scoreline.
This win for Invictus puts them at first place on the leaderboard.
Elevate vs. ORDER
This match was also played in Oregon. Elevate is a team that loves playing aggressively and that’s what they made a show on the first attack round. Elevate used operators, such as Blitz, Finka, and Dokkaebi, to rush into the site. Teams usually don’t rush in the first round, so this was pretty fun to watch. The round started with Blitz rushing into the blue bunker and killing a defender while he was setting up.
Then, the rest of Elevate followed Blitz and won the round. ORDER was prepared for the coming rounds, so both teams were able to tie 3-3 in the first half. After the side switch, Elevate was too strong to stop on defense as they just roamed around the map and got kills. ORDER was unable to counter this aggressive playstyle and Elevate was able to take the win. Elevate won the map with a 7-4 scoreline.
