Rainbow Six Siege’s APAC South Division concluded its fifth playday. This is an important league as the first placer will qualify for the Six Major. The second to fourth placers will qualify for the playoffs to face APAC North teams.
Invictus Gaming vs. Dire Wolves
This match was played in Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a defender-sided map. DW started the match on attack and played the first round really well. DW used operators Glaz, Capitao, Buck, Iana, and Maverick to execute into the site without much trouble. DW executed through the east side windows of the top floor using smokes and grenades to clear the site.
After clearing the site, they were able to hold the window rappels and prevent Invictus from defusing the bomb. DW used the exact same lineup on round two to attack the bakery, but Invictus was prepared this time and won the second round flawlessly. Both teams were trading rounds back and forth, which resulted in a 3-3 scoreline for the first half.
After the side switch, DW seemed like they were in their comfort zone. The eighth round was down to a 2v4 situation against DW’s odds. However, they were able to hold freezer and cocktail to deny Invictus from planting the bomb. This resulted in an insane 2v4 clutch for DW. DW won the match against Invictus with a 7-3 scoreline.
This is Invictus Gaming’s first loss in the APAC South Division.
QConfirm vs. Elevate
This match was played in Coastline, which favors teams who like to play aggressively and take more gunfights. Since both teams are known for their aggressive playstyle, it made the match interesting. Elevate started the match on attack and had an easy time winning gunfights against QConfirm. Elevate just ran around the map every round to win rounds. Unfortunately, QConfirm couldn't do anything. The first half resulted in a 6-0 scoreline in favor of Elevate.
After the side switch, QConfirm started the seventh round terribly as they lost two players to default spawn-peeks. However, QConfirm took that round because Elevate got cocky and started running around the map. But it didn’t matter in the end as Elevate had a huge advantage and easily won the final round. Elevate won the match with a 7-1 scoreline.
