Rainbow Six Siege’s Colorful tournament just concluded its first playday for winner bracket matches. The tournament has a prize pool of $1,500, which is a pretty high amount for the South Asia competitive scene. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all the matches will be held online instead of the more traditional LAN environment. The prize pool of the tournament will be split and awarded to the top two teams who will compete in the finals. You can find the prize pool details here.
The ongoing Colorful tournament is a double-elimination based competition, where teams will have to win every match or drop down to the loser bracket. You can watch live streams of every game on the Colorful Bangladesh Facebook page.
The most exciting matchup for the first playday was between MonkaS and DauntlessEsports. The match was played on Theme Park, which is a very defender-sided map. The match was super exciting to watch, as we got to see MonkaS crushing Dauntless with ease. MonkaS was able to win the match with a 7-2 scoreline, with every player on MonkaS fragging equally well. Definitelyanoob was the star of the match, as he had nine kills playing support roles such as Maverick and Mute.
Another exciting match to watch was between BadTrip Esports and Deimos Force. This match was played on Consulate, which is a super utility-heavy map. Deimos is also known to be well versed on the map. The match was pretty close, but BadTrip proved they are just a little stronger and won the match with an 8-7 scoreline. The match displayed both teams using a frag-heavy approach, so the team with better gun skills was able to take the map.
