Rainbow Six Siege’s European League has started its third stage. This is an important league as the top four teams will qualify for the Six Major.
Natus Vincere vs. G2 Esports
The matchup between these two teams was played on the Bank. Bank just got a small rework, which should make it better in competitive play. Jack "Doki" Robertson of Na'Vi started out the first round on attack with a quad kill. Doki entered the map through the top floor and got a kill by shooting through the floor. Then, he was able to get the remaining kills by holding the hatch, while his teammates were getting the plant down.
Na'Vi took four rounds consecutively, and they only dropped the last two rounds in the first half. This resulted in a 4-2 split in favor of Na’Vi. After the side switch, Na’Vi swiftly won three rounds and finished the game. Na’Vi won the map with a 7-3 scoreline. Doki carried his team with 16 kills.
Virtus.pro vs. Rogue
This match was played on Chalet, which is an attacker-sided map. Rogue started the game on defense. Rogue was able to take two rounds, and it was close. But then, Alan "Rask" Ali of Virtus.Pro got a quad kill on the third round, which secured VP the round. VP used the momentum to win more rounds and this resulted in a 3-3 scoreline.
After the side switch, both teams were still even which pushed for overtime. Rogue understood VP’s strategies and was able to counter them with ease during the extended rounds. The final round was quite anti-climactic as both teams were even at a certain point. But Rogue just rushed into the site and finished the game. It was a risky rush because Rogue pushed from all directions, but it worked out as VP was caught off-guard. Rogue won the map with an 8-6 scoreline. This win is very important for Rogue as they placed dead last in the second stage and they wouldn’t want to repeat it again.
