Rainbow Six Siege’s European League has concluded its third playday of Stage 3. This is an important league as the top four teams will qualify for the Six Major.
BDS Esport vs. Heroic
This match was played in Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. BDS started the game on the attack and had a pretty hard time countering Heroic’s setup. On round five, Heroic opened up the entire dorm's walls and held it using a Tachanka. This operator was used for his gadget as he can shoot his grenades to deny the plant. Tachanka's kit also allows him to shoot his grenades in safety, which makes it very good to deny areas like the attic and big window at the dorm's site.
Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu of Team BDS was the saving grace for his team on round five, when he walked into the site and got a triple kill. This allowed BDS to win the round, resulting in a 3-3 scoreline in the first half. After the side switch, Pedro "Thuunder" Muniz of Heroic got a quad kill in ten seconds. Thuunder just walked down the basement stairs in the final 20 seconds, and then got four kills because BDS was focused on holding another side. This match went all the way till overtime. But BDS was able to win the final round, which resulted in an 8-7 scoreline.
Rogue vs. Team Empire
This match was played in Clubhouse. This map requires a lot of coordination, which makes Empire the favorites for this matchup. Empire started the game on defense and chose the basement as their first site. The first round was a very risky round from Rogue as they just rushed the site. Rogue walked down the blue stairs and got free access to the site, letting them take the first round for free.
Empire was prepared from the next round to avoid the same mistake. Empire took the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. After the side switch, Empire won every single round. Even though most rounds were close, Empire still won the game with a 7-2 scoreline. This victory for Empire puts them in third place.
