Rainbow Six Siege’s European League has concluded its sixth playday of Stage 3. This is an important league as the top four teams will qualify for the Six Sweden Major 2021.
BDS Esport vs. Team Secret
This match was played in Coastline, which favors teams with aggressive playstyle. BDS started the game on defense. Secret opted to rush the first round by picking operators Montagne and Ying. However, BDS was prepared for this rush on the Hookah site and stopped it before it even started. Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu of BDS got a double kill in the first round by just holding the blue bar.
Secret used the exact same strategy on round two and failed again. BDS won the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. After the side switch, Secret chose to defend the Blue bar site, which caught BDS off-guard. BDS was unprepared and lost that round. However, BDS won the remaining attack rounds and finished the game. BDS won with a 7-4 scoreline.
BDS is currently in first place and has qualified for the Six Sweden Major 2021.
Virtus.pro vs. Natus Vincere
This match was played in the reworked map, Bank. VP started the map on the attack and didn’t have much trouble countering Natus Vincere’s defensive setup. VP had a flawless first round as they just cleared the map and opened up all hatches. This created a lot of pressure for Na’Vi and they died one by one because of the pressure. The third round was the closest as it came down to a 2v1 situation in favor of VP.
But Na’Vi's Echo was still up and successfully used his gadget to deny the plant in the final second. VP took the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. After the side switch, Na’Vi won two rounds because of their superior gun skills. However, VP was ahead in score and had more pressure, which made them win the game with a 7-4 scoreline.
