Rainbow Six Siege European League Stage 2 has finished its sixth playday. The top four teams from this region will qualify for the Six August 2021 Major, which is held in Mexico. The European League is currently being played online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
G2 Esports vs. Team Vitality
The match between the two teams was played on Chalet. It was super exciting to watch as both teams went head to head, winning alternate rounds. This resulted in the first half being a 3-3 tie. The second half went exactly the same as both teams were super consistent and it led to overtime. G2 was able to win the final round with a scoreline of 8-7.
G2 Jake "Virtue" Grannan and Ben "CTZN" McMillan carried their team with 14 and 20 kills, respectively. This match also puts G2 at first place and requires only one more win to qualify for the Six Major.
Natus Vincere vs. Rogue
The matchup between these two teams was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Na'Vi banned Zofia as a target ban for one of the players from Rogue. On the other hand, Rogue banned Thermite as a target ban for Na'Vi support. The first half went in favor of Na'Vi as they got a 4-2 scoreline. Rogue had a pretty difficult time on defense as well since they weren’t able to counter Na'Vi. This allowed Na'Vi to win the match with a 7-4 scoreline.
This win puts Na'Vi at fourth place and will be able to qualify for Six Major if they get a few more points. On the other hand, Rogue is sitting in tenth place and will be relegated if they lose more matches.
Currently, G2 Esports, BDS Esports, Team Empire, and Natus Vincere are sitting at the top of the leaderboards. These teams are the closest to qualifying for the upcoming Six Major event.
