Rainbow Six Siege European League Stage 2 has finished its eighth playday. The top four teams from this region will qualify for the Six August 2021 Major, which is held in Mexico. The European League is currently being played online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
BDS Esport vs. Virtus.pro
The matchup between these two teams was played on Oregon, which is a defender-side map. V.P banned Nomad to cut off BDS’ rotations. The match was super intense as both teams were pretty much equal in score. The first half resulted in a 3-3 scoreline, which is pretty decent. Both teams continued to win alternate rounds that got them to overtime. BDS was able to win the match in overtime by winning the final round with a score of 8-7.
This win puts BDS at third place and confirms its spot in the Six Major. While V.P is in sixth place with a small chance to qualify for the event.
Team Empire vs. Natus Vincere
These two teams played their match on Consulate, which is an attacker-sided map. The Nomad and Valkyrie ban from Team Empire was to ensure their opponents won't play aggressively. Empire started with a solid attack, which got them four rounds in the first half. The first half resulted in a 4-2 scoreline. Na’Vi was unable to come back on attack due to the score difference, which Empire took advantage of to close the game. Empire won the game with a 7-4 scoreline and secured a spot for the Six Major. On the other hand, Na’Vi is sitting in fourth place.
Currently, G2 Esports, BDS Esports, and Team Empire have qualified for the Six Major. The fourth spot will be decided after the final playday, but it will most likely be Natus Vincere. Rogue sits on the last spot of the leaderboards, which means they will have to go through relegation if they want to stay in the next season of the European League.
