Rainbow Six Siege North American League has just concluded its eighth playday of Stage 3. This is an important league as the top four teams will qualify for the Six Sweden Major 2021.
Spacestation Gaming vs. Beastcoast
This match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a defender-sided map. SSG started on defense and had a pretty bad first round. SSG began the match on the Bar site and failed to contest anyone because Beastcoast was holding rotations from the windows and skylight. This put a lot of pressure on SSG and they lost the first round.
SSG’s were slowly starting to get back in form after round one and they opted to play the Kitchen site for round two. SSG Alexander "Skys" Magor held the small bakery and managed to get a triple kill when Beastcoast tried to peek him. SSG continued to dominate the rest of the game and won the first half with a 5-1 scoreline.
After the side switch, Beastcoast was so far behind that they started making more mistakes. On round six, Beastcoast’s defender, Joseph "Phozzo" Eisenmann, tried peeking the Maverick hole while it was being created and he died because SSG was contesting the angle. SSG took advantage of small mistakes like this and won the game with a 7-1 scoreline.
Oxygen Esports vs. DarkZero Esports
This match was played on Chalet, which is an attacker-sided map. DZ started the attack and simply destroyed OXG. However, neither team was trying because they already qualified for the Six Sweden Major. So, this game was just about two teams running around the map and getting kills. DZ entered random map areas on the attack and managed to get kills as they surprised the defenders. DZ took the first half with a 5-1 scoreline.
After the side switch, OXG started to put up a fight and won two rounds. However, OXG was too far behind to catch up with DZ. DZ used their momentum advantage and won the game with a 7-3 scoreline.
