Rainbow Six Siege North American League has just concluded its final playday of Stage 3. Only the top four teams will attend the Six Sweden Major.
DarkZero Esports vs. Astralis
This match was played on the newly reworked map, Bank. The first half was a back and forth game between both teams as they were winning alternate rounds. The fifth round was one of DZ’s best attack rounds as they dropped every single hatch into the basement site and killed the defenders. DZ won that round because they droned out the entire site and executed it well. The first half was tied between both teams, as it resulted in a 3-3 scoreline.
After the side switch, Astralis started making very aggressive plays that helped them win rounds. Astralis would just rappel windows and hold rotations while attacking the conference site. The window rappels pressured DZ a lot, which led them to make tons of mistakes. Astralis took advantage of it, leading them to many kills. In the 11th round, DZ decided to play on Archives and Tellers sites. While DZ got the sites, their hold was poor as none of them had crossfires and they were just trying to get solo kills. The round was down to a 1v4 situation where DZ Troy "Canadian" Jaroslawski had to clutch the round. Canadian rushed into the site and got three kills, but was unable to get the final kill to win the round. In the end, Astralis won the map with a 7-4 scoreline.
Even though DarkZero lost the match, they have enough points to qualify for the Six Sweden Major. On the other hand, Astralis is currently sitting in seventh place. This isn’t bad as they are safe from relegation. However, the roster was just acquired by Astralis a while back and it would be a shame to see them go out of the scene this soon.
XSET is the only team going to the relegation and fighting against other challenger league players. The winners of the match will make their way into the next North American League.
