Operation Red Crow is the next expansion coming to Rainbow Six Siege Ubisoft

Rainbow Six Siege continues to be updated and improved well past launch, and Ubisoft has just announced even more content will be added soon. Season 4, called Operation Red Crow, will be fully revealed on Nov. 12 and 13.

As for what we do know about Operation Red Crow, there will be at least one new map, two new operators and other gameplay improvements. On the new map, players will be fighting through a skyscraper in Nagoya, Japan. A small glimpse of the new map can be seen in the trailer above.

The gameplay improvements coming in Operation Red Crow seem to be exactly what fans are looking for. The biggest news is that hit detection is getting overhauled to be more accurate than ever. As for the changes, Ubisoft explains it best:

“We will be introducing better ping reporting to help us understand what the variables are when a player experiences a frustrating moment. Regarding network and latency, we fixed an issue relating to network compression that was causing some inaccuracies in hit registration. This should help in certain situations. We also found and resolved a movement issue related to stances that would create a misalignment in the head placement when registering a hit.”

Another addition to gameplay is caliber-based destruction. All guns up to this point in Rainbow Six Siege leave the same bullet hole sizes, regardless of what kind of gun it is. Starting in Season 4, guns with stronger calibers will cause more destruction.

Two new operators have also been revealed, but no information about them has been released. The new operators are a man named Echo and a woman named Hibana. Echo looks like he has some sort of drone, while Hibana doesn’t really have any notable features as of right now.

For the full reveal, be sure to tune into the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitch channel on Nov. 12 for a developer panel and Nov. 13 for a full demo of the new content. Nov. 13 is also the PC and Xbox One finals for the Rainbow Six Pro League.
