Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is getting its last season of the year. Y7S4 Operation Solar Raid will go live on December 6 with the test server build already live. The developer has already revealed the pre-season Designer’s Notes and it contains some very interesting changes.
Starting next season, accidental team killing in the preparation phase won’t be possible anymore. Friendly Fire will be turned off for the prep phase, so you don’t have to worry about damaging your allies when making rotations or new lines of sight.
Alibi is receiving a significant nerf. She won’t have access to 1.5x sight for her MX4 Storm SMG. Her Prisma also won’t be detected as an operator when players throw them outside. Dokkaebi is now a three-speed one-armor operator and Aruni is a one-speed three-armor operator. Mute, Melusi, and Osa are also three-armor operators now. Echo and Ela, on the other hand, are now two-speed two-armor operators.
The rest of the changes are mentioned below.
- Normalized movement speed while ADS
- All operators will move at 2.34 m/s – current movement speed of a 3 armor operator – while aiming down sights (2 speed from 2.6 m/s and 3 speed from 2.73 m/s)
- Precision when shooting from the hip will always be the same regardless of the operator's stance. The current precision while standing will be the default.
