Rainbow Six Siege's North American League 2020 stage two concluded its fourth playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The North American League had some really exciting matches to watch this week, with all the matches played as a best of three format. We got to see a variety of maps in play, teaching us new strategies that can be implemented into our own games.
The matchup between TSM and DarkZero was the most anticipated match of the fourth playday. The first map was played on Consulate, which is an attacker-sided map. DarkZero was pretty dominating on their attacks, but the real match started on the defense where they picked operators such as Clash to stop TSM’s entry into the map. DarkZero’s coordination led them to a 7-4 victory on the first map.
The second map was played on Clubhouse, which is an attacker-sided map according to the operator bans. TSM was able to win the majority of their rounds on defense by being very aggressive. This allowed them to go 4-2 on the defense split. DarkZero gave them a really tough match to play, and it went to overtime. DarkZero won the match with an 8-7 scoreline, which was closer than viewers may have expected.
Another good match to watch was between Tempo Storm and Soniqs. The first map was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Both teams were head to head in terms of fragging, but Soniqs had the upper hand as they were able to predict Tempo’s attack quite well. Tim "Creators" Humpherys carried Tempo with 21 kills in Oregon despite Tempo losing the match 7-5.
The second match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a defender-sided map. This match went all the way to overtime, but Soniqs were able to take it with their high level of coordination. Soniqs won the match with an 8-6 scoreline.
