The towns on the frontier may be starting to grow but outside, different wildlife continues to exist. This July, in Red Dead Online, it's a good time to commune with nature and earn bonuses. Naturalists who want to have a more discerning approach to wildlife get double rewards from Naturalist Sample Sales and Legendary Animal Protection Free Roam Events.
The thing to remember is that Naturalists aren't only about hunting and poaching. There are even more rewards for those who research and protect the wildlife of the frontier. That's why, for this month, Naturalists able to reach Rank 5 get to launch the Legendary Animal Sighting Missions from Harriet's tent, which is giving out 2X XP and Role XP. At the same time, Legendary Animal Protection Free Roam Events are also letting players earn 2X RDO$ and XP.
Naturalist Sample Sales
As mentioned, players can earn double rewards from Naturalist Sample Sales this month. They just need to deliver animal samples to Harriet Davenport by tranquilizing animal targets with non-lethal sedative ammunition. In addition, selling a sample to Harriet each week yields these rewards:
- July 11 to July 17: 40% off a Novice or Promising Naturalist Role Item.
- July 18 to July 24: 40% off an Established or Distinguished Naturalist. Role Item
- July 25 to July 31: A Lake Isabella Treasure Map.
Bonus Rewards
Aside from looking for rare beasts in the wild, there are other ways to get those extras and rewards this month, including:
- Complete a Blood Money Opportunity to receive the Morales Vest in brown.
- Craft a Coat or Trinket at Gus' Store to receive 42 rounds of Buckshot Incendiary Shotgun Shells.
- Complete a round of Wildlife Photography to receive the Raccoon Hat in tan.
