For this week, Red Dead Online is introducing a new and terrifying new limited-time addition to the Showdown Modes. In Fear of the Dark, mortal Hunters get to face off against the fast, tough, and strong Night Stalkers. This new mode is already available today and ends November 12. To sweeten this deal for everyone, the entire limited-time mode hands out 3X Gold and 2X RDO$.
In Fear of the Dark, while the Night Stalkers do have powers, these powers are tied to skull masks that are strewn on their stomping grounds. Hunters need to get their hands on masks and the more they get, the stronger their weapons get and the weaker the Night Stalkers become. Hunters win if they manage to collect all the masks and kill the remaining Night Stalkers. Meanwhile, Night Stalkers can win by surviving until the time limit expires or wiping out the Hunters. Players who win a round of the Fear of the Dark mode get to receive an exclusive tint of the Freak Mask as a reward.
Legendary Bounty
Of course it wouldn't be an update without a Legendary Bounty and what would be better than going after a corrupt politician? Meet former mayor Tobin Winfield who, while still in office, stashed away public money for years. Disgraced and in hiding, Winfield is wanted for embezzlement and larceny. Look around Thieves' Landing to get a chance to capture this crooked official.
Weekly Collection & Clothing Updates
This week Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue offers a selection of new items which include the homely Tobacco Hat, the woven straw Thacker Hat, the Southwestern-patterned Torranca Coat, Manstilla Poncho, Creswell Skirt, Sierra Boots and Pickett Boots.
Collectors can also get a sizable stipend from Madam Nazar by going after the new Weekly Collectible List, the Witch Hunt Collection. This consists of the Cardinal Flower, Vulture Egg and Splintered Arrowhead.
