Rocket League's October Update has been officially scheduled for October 14, and it's all set to add some excellent new quality-of-life improvements, as well as preparations for the upcoming in-game Halloween event.
One of the most exciting additions in the upcoming October Update is the return of the Haunted Hallows event. The third iteration of the event so far, Haunted Hallows has been a successful staple for Rocket League players every year since 2017. However, this time around, developer Psyonix is upping the ante with some unexpected twists to the Haunted Hallows formula. We don't know what Haunted Hallows has in store for us this year, but we sure as hell are looking forward to finding out. We'll likely get more details on this before the week ends, so check back with us for more updates soon.
The upcoming October Update also comes with some highly-requested quality of life features to make the overall gameplay experience more enjoyable. Once the update rolls out, players will be able to make use of all-new features, which include a post-game party-up feature, team-colored boost meters that work with custom team colors as well as colorblind mode, the new quickplay button, the newly-refurbished news panel, and two new eSports teams for Rocket League's competitive scene. You can find out more about these features at the official Rocket League developer blog.
Rocket League's October Update goes live on all platforms on October 14 at 1:00 p.m. EDT, signaling the start of this year's Haunted Hallows event. As soon as the update goes live, players across all platforms - PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Linux, and Mac - will be able to download the new features and take part in the newest iteration of Haunted Hallows.
