In today's Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, the company announced a number of exciting third-party games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch. Some of the biggest reveals include Monster Hunter Rise, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and others that are scheduled to release in 2020 and 2021. The presentation also took many fans by surprise as it announced that Rune Factory 5 will also be coming to the hybrid console.
It's been eight years since Rune Factory 4 released on Nintendo 3DS, and it is great to know that the Japenese developer Hakama hasn't forgotten about the franchise. Rune Factory 5 is a massive step up from the previous game. The upcoming game boasts 3D graphics, a new battle style, and more unique features.
In Rune Factory 5, players will begin their journey waking up at a beach after having entirely lost their memory. They'll then have to start a new journey by joining the peacekeeping rangers. Players will also explore the islands and interact with people, monsters, and more. Additionally, players can farm, fish, and find a romantic partner to settle down with. All in all, it seems that Rune Factory 5 will be covering a wide range of experiences that players can explore.
Rune Factory 5 will also have a new combat style where players will be put into direct action-RPG combat. Players can perform combination attacks with their party members to make fights easier.
Fans will absolutely love the fact that Rune Factory 5 will have full 3D traversal, giving players a sense of freedom and control.
Despite all the good news about the game, fans may feel saddened to know that Rune Factory 5 still doesn't have a concrete release date. However, we do know that the game will launch worldwide in 2021 following a spring release in Japan.
Rune Factory 5 is releasing in 2021 on Nintendo Switch.
