PC players just started to get a steady stream of previously-released PlayStation-exclusive games. Several upcoming PC ports have been confirmed, while many others have been rumored. Now, you can add one more to the rumored list.
The Leak
Sackboy: A Big Adventure, a platformer game released as a launch title for PS5, might be coming to PC. One of the entries on SteamDB is named Steel PC. However, once you click on it and go to “Depots,” you can see “Marmalade Content” in it.
Marmalade was the same codename used for Sackboy in the massive Nvidia GeForce Now leak, which took place a month ago. While this may not be an official confirmation, it’s still a big coincidence that we can’t ignore.
Previous GeForce Now Leak
Sackboy: A Big Adventure was one of the games mentioned for PC during the Nvidia leak. The same leak revealed Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection, confirmed at the time, and God of War (2018), confirmed now. Other PS games mentioned include Ghost of Tsushima, Demon Souls, Horizon Forbidden West, and Gran Turismo 7.
Possible Release Date
There is a very good chance that Sackboy: A Big Adventure is coming to PC. But its release is not anytime soon. The first few months of 2022 are already reserved. God of War is releasing on January 14, and Uncharted Legacy of Thieves is coming one or two months later. A recent leak also suggested that the Bloodborne PC port is complete, and Sony is currently sitting on it. That could be released soon as well. So, we are probably gonna be waiting a while for Sackboy.
First Kid-Friendly Game for PC by Sony
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a weird title to arrive on PC. Till now, Sony has released more adult-oriented games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Sackboy is a more kid-focused game. It’s a great platformer that you can play in single-player and cooperative mode. I am sure it will find a good player base on PC.
Now, Sony did release Astro's Playroom, and the game looked cute as a puppy.
