Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice shares the same qualities with other From Software titles in a sense that players fight massive bosses. Many of the game’s quests offer cryptic clues, making players confused about what to do next. One of the bosses players are having troubles overcoming is Lord Isshin, and where his exact location is in his tower.
After defeating Genichiro and reuniting with the Young Lord, players are tasked to put their immortality to the test. In order to do this, players have to have Ashina Lord Isshin’s support. He is said to be recovering in a certain watchtower after getting wounded, but for many people, his exact location remains a mystery.
So, what do Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice players have to do if Lord Isshin is not in the tower?
When the Young Lord sends people after the aforementioned character, they are being directed out of the window. From there, they must go straight to the rooftop and follow some smoke signals to the nearby tower. It sounds pretty simple, right? Well, the thing is, Lord Isshin is not always in his tower.
This is where players should head back to the room of the Young Lord and go up the stairs towards where they fought Genichiro. Simply talk to the nurse and she should tell players about another tower, which is located on the battlefield where they went toe to toe with the horse-rider general boss.
Head over to the Castle Gate Shrine by using a Sculptor’s Idol. When on the battlefield, find an area on the far side where a huge staircase can be found. Go up that staircase and a trail of bodies should appear. Apparently, this trail leads to the door of a tower, which the nurse claims earlier.
It is worth noting, though, that there is a merchant around to the right. This should help players in case they are looking for more Gourd Seeds.
Once inside the tower, players should chance upon a shinobi donning a long-nosed mask. Speak to him and he should start sending them after some “rats”. The instructions here, though, can be unclear, although what players should be looking for is a very specific enemy located in the Ashina Castle area. It is just near the rooftops with the crow ninjas.
As players travel to the Ashina castle Idol, they need to go over the other side of the wall where they will see a short enemy wearing a straw hat. Obviously, they need to fight and kill him, so they can return to the Long-nosed Shinbo, who will teach them about Ninjutsu.
Once done, players just need to perform the same steps to find Lord Isshin. And once they are in the nearby tower, they should see Lord Isshin inside.
